NYMM
IMPRESSES IN THE BUCKEYE
STATE |
|
Just a few weeks after his 2nd place finish at the Fort Wayne
Rumble (Fort Wayne, Indiana), NYMM driver Erick Rudolph showed
once again that he can race and beat some of the nations best.
After arriving late Friday evening in Columbus Ohio, Erick used
every second of his practice session Saturday morning to tune in
the 2006-1/2 Lafler Chassis. After a semi disappointing 8th
place qualifying finish, Team AHR made some adjustments just in
time for Erick's heat race, and wow what adjustments they made.
John Ivy had set the track record during his qualifying with a
7.105, but Rudolph
would find himself running .20 faster then Ivy during his heat,
lapping almost the
whole
field. Even with his heat
win, Erick would find himself starting 8th in the A-Main.

Kreutter To Race With the ASCS Patriots |
|
01-24-07 (from Rich Vleck) |
|
Scott
Kreutter, the 2006 New York Modified Midget Champion, has
announced his intentions to run the entire 2007 ASCS Patriot
Sprint Campaign, in search of rookie of the year. Kreutter will
not be alone in this rookie class, so he is coming into the
season loaded for bear.
The Kreutter
racing team has recently purchased a 2007 J&J Chassis from
Pancho’s Racing Products and will have a top-of-the-line power
plant to surround a wealth of racing talent.
Kreutter, of Alden, NY,
started his racing career like so many others, in go-karts. He
then moved on to a 125cc Micro Sprint before making the jump to
a 358-modified at the young age of 15. After running the
modified on and off at Patriot tracks like Ransomville, in 2006
he ran the inaugural season with the 600cc micro-sprint NYMM
organization, capturing 12 wins over the season and cruising to
the championship. At the end of the last season, Kreutter
realized that he could move up to 360-sprint racing to take on a
new challenge without much more travel.
“Moving up to a
full size sprint is going to be a challenge to me and my crew,”
noted the 20-year-old. “But we feel we have what it takes to be
a frontrunner.”
Best Wishes to Scott and the
whole team! |

2006 Banquet
Blast A Huge Success! |
|
1-14-07 |
|
The
NYMM Series closed its doors on the 2006 racing season with the
NYMM Banquet Blast at the Diplomat Banquet Center. Over 100
people were in attendance Saturday evening to close out the 2006
season. Dan Turner (MC) got things started welcoming our guests.
Timex Morgan then took to the microphone thanking all drivers
for their support and how grateful he is for their continued
support of the series. Timex touched on the possible mini
asphalt racing series in 2007 at the Wyoming County Speedway and
the Chemung Speedway. Timex also touched on 2 possible indoor
racing events next winter in western New York. Also because of
the success of the NASCAR night at Black Rock Speedway last
season, NASCAR drivers/pit crew could be not only jumping in the
600 machines but also racing during our feature event. Finally
Timex briefly discussed
the
possibility of running at the Fulton Speedway during the World
Of Outlaw Sprint Car night.
